Yield
How many countertop runs one quartz slab makes
The yield below assumes a standard 600 mm countertop depth and a 20–38 mm edge trim, the range published in quartz fabrication manuals. Ask Auro Quartz for the measured size of the slabs in your order.
| Slab | Yield | Calculation |
|---|---|---|
| Jumbo 3200 × 1600 mm | 2 runs of about 3.1 m × 600 mm | After a 20–38 mm edge trim (industry range), about 3,125–3,160 × 1,525–1,560 mm is usable |
| Standard 3000 × 1400 mm | 2 runs of about 2.9 m × 600 mm | After the same edge trim, about 2,925–2,960 × 1,325–1,360 mm is usable |
| Jumbo 3200 × 1600 mm | 1 island top up to about 3.1 × 1.5 m | An island within the usable size needs no seam |
Jumbo or Standard
When a Jumbo slab saves a seam
After the usual edge trim, a Jumbo 3200 × 1600 mm slab still covers a kitchen island of about 3.1 m in one piece, so the island top has no seam. A Standard 3000 × 1400 mm slab suits regular countertop runs under 3 m. Auro Quartz supplies both formats and cuts the pieces to the buyer’s drawing when the buyer needs finished tops.
